<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/GDE%20Review/information_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/GDE%20Review/information_blog.jpg" height="482" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I was recently given the opportunity to do a review for my blog on the company <b>Glamour Doll Eyes</b> & I could not be more excited to share them with you! The owner was kind enough to let me choose 6 sample eyeshadows to try out and give my opinion on. :)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Actually, this was kind of a no-brainer for me because I have to admit - Glamour Doll Eyes is already a company that is well known to me, that I have purchased from in the past.. and still continue to purchase from. ;) I personally think that Glamour Doll Eyes has excellent customer service and that is my number one when it comes to purchasing from <i>any</i> company. </div>
<div>
In my experience - shipping has always been quick, inexpensive (+ shipping is always free on sample orders!), the products are packaged neatly (bubble mailer, jars are sealed) and I've always received business cards (and even promotional business cards for other indie companies), stickers, eyeshadow samples, and product information for upcoming collections and/or product information for the collections I had purchased from with my orders. I don't know about you, but I think it's pretty awesome to see other indie companies supporting one another. I <b>really</b> love their professionalism when it comes to advertising their brand and everything that goes into the packaging (pictured above) - it is well thought out and very well put together.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/GDE%20Review/seal_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/GDE%20Review/seal_blog.jpg" height="308" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
One of my favorite parts about Glamour Doll Eyes is that they are quite literally the only company I know of that offers the "try before you commit" rule - when you order samples from the company and later decide you want (or, you know.. <i>absolutely</i> <b>need</b>) a full size version of the product, they will deduct the cost of the previously purchased sample from the full size if you shoot them an e-mail. How amazing is that!?<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
They carry a nice range of products - from loose eyeshadows and blushes, eyeshadow primer and foiling serum, and lip glosses to the newly released 'glitter tubes' (loose cosmetic grade glitter mixes with the option to even customize your own blend!), and their soon to be released gel eyeliner 'static line.'<br />
Glamour Doll Eyes' products are not exclusively vegan, but each product page clearly lists information on whether or not the product is vegan, what the ingredients are for each product, and what the specific product is approved for in terms of use (eyes, lips, face, nails, etc.). The labeling on my sample jars also lists ingredients, whether or not it is vegan, and whether or not it is lip safe. When browsing/shopping the website there is an option to 'shop by' and you can narrow it down to vegan only or even non vegan as well as shop by color, finish, which products are new, and even their best sellers (this always helps when I am feeling overwhelmed with color choices, haha).<br />
The icing on the cake, for me, has always been the option to purchase sample sizes of the eyeshadows and not have to compromise on the packaging. I'm <i>really</i> not a fan of sample baggies (I honestly rarely ever touch them because I find them inconvenient and a bit messy) so it is so much more appealing to me to be able to purchase sample sizes in jars. Sample jars are a bit more expensive than their sample bags ($2.50 for a sample jar, $1.25 for the sample baggie) <b>but</b> you are also getting double the product in a jar vs. baggie. Their full size eyeshadows retail for $6 and you have the option as to whether or not you want sifters in your jars (if you opt out of the sifters, the jars will contain a bit more product).<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
I find that Glamour Doll Eyes is constantly working on new and exciting products as well as actively looking for feedback from their customers. They occasionally have flash sales and post specials on their Facebook page & from time to time they even have contests and giveaways going on over there! If you aren't already a fan of their page, I highly suggest heading on over to their <a href="https://www.facebook.com/glamourdolleyes?ref=br_tf">Facebook page</a> and liking them so that you can stay up to date and maybe catch their next promo. ;)</div>
<div>
You can check out their website <a href="http://glamourdolleyes.com/">here</a> and see all the beautiful colors they have to offer. :) I don't want to make this too terribly long to read, so if there is anything I failed to mention or address in this review, it will likely be answered in their FAQ section <a href="http://www.glamourdolleyes.com/index.php?main_page=faq">here</a>. <b>Please note that at this time they are currently away until May 30th (you can still submit orders, but they will not begin processing until then).</b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/GDE%20Review/products2_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/GDE%20Review/products2_blog.jpg" height="440" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For my review, I decided to pick out some colors that I've had my eye on but kept holding off on ordering. <b>Katie's Storm</b> is actually a color I received as a sample from one of my very first orders a while back (no idea what happened to it :/ ) - I never, ever thought I would like this shade as much as I do, but once I saw it in person it immediately went on my 'must have' list! <b>Presumptuous</b>, <b>Arrogant</b>, and <b>Thoughtless </b>are from the 'Matte²: Masculine' collection - I absolutely love (and am probably a liiiittle bit obsessed with) matte eyeshadows, but I am even more excited that these are all a little more unique and have an added color sheen twist to them. <b>Bittersweet</b> and <b>Malicious</b> are from the 'Pick Your Poison' collection, all of which have the same beautiful neutral/taupe base but with an added duochrome pop of color. ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div>
I swear I did swatches on about three or four separate occasions, and I just could not do them justice. They all look even more beautiful in person <b>especially</b> the color sheen on the 'Matte²: Masculine' collection shades. They are to. die. for.! I am <i>so</i> bummed that they didn't show up very well on camera, I hope you will still be able to see some of the colorful sheen that each color has and I promise you they are more apparent in person. All of my swatches were done over Tick:Tock Cosmetics Infinity Eyeshadow Base in 'Milky Way'.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/GDE%20Review/GDE_KatiesStormBittersweetMalicious_swatches_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/GDE%20Review/GDE_KatiesStormBittersweetMalicious_swatches_blog.jpg" height="385" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Katie's Storm, Bittersweet, and Malicious</span></div>
<div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/GDE%20Review/GDE_PresumptuousArrogantThoughtless_swatches2_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/GDE%20Review/GDE_PresumptuousArrogantThoughtless_swatches2_blog.jpg" height="382" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Presumptuous, Arrogant, and Thoughtless</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Katie's Storm</b> is a really beautiful light grey but I swear it almost looks a bit 'dusty' (which just makes me love it even more). <b>Bittersweet</b> and <b>Malicious</b> have the same gorgeous taupe base color, but Bittersweet has an orange and slightly golden shift while Malicious has a very obvious (and quite beautiful) blue shift that <i>almost</i> seems a bit violet at some angles (at least to me, it does. haha). <b>Presumptuous</b> is a matte yellow with a light purple sheen. <b>Arrogant</b> is a matte deep teal (that leans more on the green side) with a pretty blue sheen. <b>Thoughtless</b> is really vivid medium matte blue with a pretty striking orange sheen (it was definitely the most obvious color shift of the three)!</div>
<br />
I'm really impressed with the 'Matte²: Masculine' collection as a whole. I have a handful of the other shades from the collection and I think if I had to choose, it is by far my favorite collection from Glamour Doll Eyes so far! I really like the added color sheen that each color in the collection has.. it gives the matte eyeshadows a nice unexpected twist and really sets them apart from other matte eyeshadows on the market. I can see myself using Katie's Storm quite a bit.. I find that it's kind of perfect for everyday wear (mostly because my favorite colors are grey and brown.. or taupe!). After trying out the two colors from the 'Pick Your Poison' collection - I think I may just have to pick up the rest. I love love love the base color and the duochrome just makes them even more captivating. All in all, I have no complaints! If I had to think of something to "improve" I would say that I kind of wish Presumptuous had a stronger purple interference. ;) haha<br />
<br />
I'm hoping to post more Glamour Doll Eyes swatches soon, including the other shades I own from the 'Matte²: Masculine' collection - so, be on the look out! :D<br />
<br />

<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Ipsy%20-%20April%202014/BagContents_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Ipsy%20-%20April%202014/BagContents_blog.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My bag contents this month:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Mary Kay At Play</b> Jelly Lip Gloss in 'Teddy Bare' - .32 fl oz/9.5ml</li>
<li><b>dr. brandt</b> Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant - .25 oz/7.5g</li>
<li><b>Sexy Hair</b> Root Pump Volumizing Spray Mousse - 1.6 oz/50ml</li>
<li><b>Elizabeth Mott</b> pop! goes the shadow in 'Champagne' - 0.07 oz/2g</li>
<li><b>Urban Decay</b> 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil in 'Black Velvet' - 0.8g/0.03 oz</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have to say.. I'm not all that thrilled with my bag this month. The bag itself is actually a pretty blurple shade (in person) and appears much more blue in my photo - not really digging the 'Beauty Rocks!' wording (a little <i>too</i> cheesy for my taste) but I <b>do</b> really like the vinyl record print! ;)<br />
As for the products... I really just dislike lip gloss in general. In my honest opinion it's typically just a big gloopy (is that really even a word? because it seems entirely appropriate..) mess. Sorry, but it's just <b>not</b> for me. :P</div>
<div>
The microdermabrasion skin exfoliant will be interesting to try out & I've seen <b>really</b> good reviews on this product. My skin is pretty dry and I'm always on the look out for exfoliating scrubs but so far Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish has been my favorite. The volumizing spray mousse will surely get used, but it's not all that exciting.</div>
<div>
I'm not a huge fan of the Elizabeth Mott eyeshadow now that I've seen it in person. It looks absolutely <b>nothing</b> like I thought it would based on the product picture on the website. It's actually a near dupe for Urban Decay's eyeshadow in 'Sin' - seriously. And I probably have like a dozen of those already. haha It's not that 'Champagne' is a bad eyeshadow at all.. it just isn't really unique or breath taking, you know? </div>
<div>
The highlight of my bag this month is definitely the new Urban Decay eyeliner. I've been looking forward to trying this out and it really made the entire bag worthwhile for me (what can I say? total eyeliner junkie!).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This month I decided to do some comparison swatches. The eyeshadows are swatched over Tick:Tock Cosmetics Infinity Eyeshadow Base in 'Milky Way'. Elizabeth Mott pop! goes the shadow in 'Champagne' is slightly more peach, while Urban Decay's 'Sin' is slightly more pink. I also did a comparison swatch of Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in 'Zero', the new 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil in 'Black Velvet', and the highly coveted 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in 'Perversion'. The biggest difference between 'Black Velvet' and 'Perversion' (at first glance) is that it is noticeably warmer in tone - it looks a bit more brown in comparison. It also has a different formulation and is meant to be a powdery texture allowing it to easily blend and smudge out.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Quick comparison swatches this month:</div>

Real Monsters! Collection + Tardis Swatches<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Back in January I won an <i><b>amazing</b></i> giveaway hosted by the owner of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/MuddslingerCC" target="_blank">Mudd Slinger Ceramics and Crafts</a> - part of the prize being a gift code to spend at Madd Style Cosmetics! :)<br />Since Madd Style Cosmetics is currently having a huge clearance sale (yes, a <i>sale</i> <b>on</b> <i>sale</i>!), I thought that I would go ahead and be a bit of an enabler by posting some swatches of what I had picked up with my gift code last month. ;)<br />Yep.. this is basically just a quick post to show you how lovely the 'Aaahh! Real Monsters!' Collection is, as well as a swatch of 'Tardis' because.. well, I couldn't pass it up either. And it's gorgeous. haha<br />
<br />
All shadows are swatched over Tick:Tock Cosmetics Infinity Eyeshadow Base in 'Milky Way' and were photographed outside in natural sunlight. Click on the photos. Seriously.<br />
Ickis has a beautiful slight pink shift to it, and you can kind of see the pretty aqua sparkles (much more apparent in person, hard to pick up on camera), Krumm has an amazing blue duochrome - in person the base color almost matches my skin tone (slightly more peachy) but the duochrome is strong and gives this shade a beautiful soft blue overlay. You really have to see these in person, my camera doesn't do them justice!<br />

<br />
My bag contents this month:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>NYX</b> Love in Rio Eyeshadow Palette in 'Barefoot In The Sand' - 3 x 0.035 oz</li>
<li><b>Chella</b> Eyeliner Pen in 'Indigo Blue' - 1ml/0.034 fl oz</li>
<li><b>bareMinerals</b> Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in 'Get Ready' - 1.5g/0.05 oz</li>
<li><b>Pixi Beauty</b> Flawless Beauty Primer - 12ml/0.4 fl oz</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Kind of obsessed with the print of the bags this month, and I absolutely love the idea behind it! I hope that this will be a continuing theme with Ipsy featuring more artists for future bags. :) Also really pleased with the items I received this month. I feel as though these are actually products I would have chosen to try this month if given a choice.. just coincidence or ipsyMatch hard at work? I'm not sure.. but, I love it!</div>
<div>
Okay, so.. bad news first? When swatching the NYX Eyeshadow Palette, I found that the colors weren't very pigmented. I actually had a hard time trying to build up the color. :( This was pretty unusual for me because I always use an eyeshadow base (or more specifically.. a primer and a base!), and it generally makes even the dullest of colors <b>POP</b>. However, I swatched this trio over my Tick:Tock Cosmetics Infinity Eyeshadow Base in 'Milky Way' and still couldn't get them to show up very well.. I probably wouldn't purchase one of these trios, but I am glad I was able to try this product and am not disappointed to have received it. They are still very pretty colors, even though they are quite subtle.<br />I was pleasantly surprised by the bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick. I really didn't think I would like the color at all, but it's quite lovely and looks absolutely nothing like the 'swatch' on their website. It also feels super moisturizing! I think I might actually check out the other colors available from this line. ;) My hands-down favorite product from my bag this month is the Chella Eyeliner Pen in 'Indigo Blue'. Words cannot even begin to express how much I loooove the color of this eyeliner! Such a nice break and much needed surprise after receiving countless black eyeliners between Birchbox and Ipsy. haha As for the Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer.. I have yet to try it, but I have high hopes because it says that it is 'hydrating' - fingers crossed!</div>

My inspiration was primarily based around this color because I felt compelled to use it right away.. seriously. I kept trying to think of other color combinations I wanted to try, but I kept coming back to 'Ship of Fools' every. single. time. ;) So, I hope that you all love it as much as I do! <3<br />I apologize in advance for the lighting.. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/1_primerandbase.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="366" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/1_primerandbase.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As always, start out by applying your preferred eye shadow primer and eye shadow base. I went pretty easy on the eye shadow base for this look.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/2_ShipofFoolsalloverlid.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="362" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/2_ShipofFoolsalloverlid.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Apply 'Ship of Fools' all over the lid and just slightly into the crease.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/3_blendoutSoF.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="365" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/3_blendoutSoF.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Grab a fluffy crease brush and lightly blend out 'Ship of Fools' in the crease.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/4_addinTouchofGrey.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="350" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/4_addinTouchofGrey.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Start slowly adding in some 'Touch of Grey' in the outer corner/crease. Don't worry about making your edges perfect - you can easily go in with a q-tip lightly dipped in makeup remover if you need to! :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/5_blendoutToG.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="331" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/5_blendoutToG.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Grab your fluffy crease brush once again and start blending out 'Touch of Grey'- if you need to, lightly add in a bit more 'Touch of Grey' and continue to blend. Keep doing this until you are happy with the overall shape and have it blended the way you want.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/6_addToGandblendBirfdaySuit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="345" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/6_addToGandblendBirfdaySuit.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Go in with a shade that is close to your skin tone (I'm using 'Birfday Suit') and blend out around the edges of 'Touch of Grey'.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/7_WitchsBrewHoGPotion.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="352" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/7_WitchsBrewHoGPotion.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Grab 'Witch's Brew' and apply to the center of the lid (I used my little accent brush to make it easier). Next, apply a little bit of 'Heart of Gold Potion' to the inner corner/duct area.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/8_mascaraandliner2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="385" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/September%20Tutorial/8_mascaraandliner2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
&Last but not least - add some eyeliner and mascara to complete the look. :)</div>

<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Birchbox%20-%20September%202013/boxcontents_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="470" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Birchbox%20-%20September%202013/boxcontents_blog.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
My box contents this month:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>benefit</b> Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in 'Sugarbomb' - 6.5ml/0.22 fl oz</li>
<li><b>RUFFIAN</b> Nail Lacquer in 'Delirium' - 0.17 fl oz/5ml</li>
<li><b>Racinne</b> Ultimate Youth Power Eye Serum - 5ml/0.17 fl oz</li>
<li><b>Juice Beauty</b> Green Apple Peel Sensitive - .25 fl oz/7ml</li>
<li><b>COOLA</b> Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face - .10 fl oz/3ml</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Not bad this month, Birchbox! I'm actually excited to try everything I received. I'm typically partial to Zoya when it comes to nail polish.. but this RUFFIAN Nail Lacquer in 'Delirium' looks amazing! It's almost a blurple shade but when the light hits it just right, it appears nearly fuchsia. The eye serum is generously sized and I'm sure I'll be able to get enough use out of it to figure out whether the product works for me or not. I've received so many COOLA samples from subs the last few months that I was <i>slightly </i>bummed to see another one.. but who am I kidding? At least it is something that I <b>can</b> and <b>will</b> use (Arizona, need I say more?)! Also disappointing to note that the sample packaging seems to have changed from the convenient little travel-size tube to a non-resealable packet (which also contains less product..!?). I've tried the Juice Beauty Peel in the past and although I like it, it hasn't given me any noticeably amazing results.. however, my skin is difficult and frustrating. So.. maybe it's just me. :( Last but not least, I'm definitely not a huge fan of lip gloss - but this one has a bunch of gorgeous little multi-colored sparkles! I'm thinking it will look quite lovely layered over some other lip colors. ;)<br /><br />Are you a Birchbox subscriber? <a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Ipsy%20-%20September%202013/bagcontents_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="500" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Ipsy%20-%20September%202013/bagcontents_blog.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
My bag contents this month:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Starlooks</b> Kohl Eye Pencil in 'Obsidian' - 2.4g</li>
<li><b>butter LONDON</b> Nail Lacquer in 'La Moss' - 6.0ml/0.2 fl oz</li>
<li><b>NYX</b> Single Eye Shadow in 'Cryptonite' - 0.088oz/2.5g</li>
<li><b>Elizabeth Mott</b> 'It's So Big' Volumizing Mascara - 0.14 fl oz/4ml</li>
<li><b>Cailyn Cosmetics</b> Tinted Lip Balm in 'Big Apple' - 0.14oz/3g</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Absolutely looooving the color of the cosmetic bag this month! As for the pattern printed on it.. I'm not entirely sure (...and while I'm on the topic, it doesn't really seem to fit the theme of 'Classic Beauty'? Is it just me?). I really wasn't "wowed" by the items sent out this month, to be completely honest, <i>but</i> I <b>did </b>receive the couple of items I was really hoping for over all. So, there's that! <br />The butter LONDON nail lacquer is a mini (which is super cute, by the way!) in the color 'La Moss'. They describe this particular shade as a "vampy deep, dark red nail lacquer full of red wine, just like its inspiration." and I'd have to agree that their description is spot on! I feel like this color is pretty unique and I don't currently have anything like it (I know, I know.. hard to believe, huh?). I'm also pretty thrilled with the Cailyn Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balm. I was kind of worried that the color leaned a bit more orange-red, but I actually found it to be more of a red-pink. It isn't nearly as moisturizing as a typical lip balm would be - but the color payoff is incredible and I'm in love with the fact that it's matte (and has some serious staying power).</div>
<div>
I could go either way with the Starlooks Kohl Eye Pencil. It's not incredibly exciting based on the fact that it <i>is</i> just a basic black eyeliner. I will likely find a use for this but it definitely won't be replacing my beloved Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils! Just from swatching the pencil on the back of my hand, I didn't find the formula to be very creamy/buttery smooth.. but, I won't be writing it off just yet, either. The 'It's So Big' mascara sample is intriguing and I'm really looking forward to trying it (it might be a while, however, because I've recently acquired a mass amount of mascara samples!). As for the NYX Single Eye Shadow.. I won't even bother to open/swatch this product. I <b>love </b>eye shadow - honestly and quite literally, it is my <b>number one</b> most 'hoarded' (a.k.a. gotta catch 'em all) cosmetic product. ha ha But I just don't really use black eye shadows, and this shade doesn't strike me as being particularly unique in any way. Bummer!<br /><br />Here are my quick swatches this month:</div>

Because of this, I felt like doing something a little different but I still wanted it to remain 'subtle' while incorporating some color. :)<br />
I apologize in advance for the lighting.. it's been quite cloudy lately & we're finally starting to see some rain!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/August%20Tutorial/2_PishPoshinner.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/August%20Tutorial/2_PishPoshinner.jpg" width="397" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Grab 'Pish Posh' and start applying to the inner corner/duct, stopping at about the center of the lid. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You could keep this color strictly in the inner corner/duct if you prefer!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/August%20Tutorial/3_NotabouttheMoneycenter.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="368" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/August%20Tutorial/3_NotabouttheMoneycenter.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Take 'Not about the Money' and start applying this to the center of the lid, overlapping 'Pish Posh' - make sure to leave a little room in the outer corner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/August%20Tutorial/4_CheermeisterOuter.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="367" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/August%20Tutorial/4_CheermeisterOuter.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Very lighty, apply a little 'Cheermeister' to the outer corner of the lid.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/August%20Tutorial/5_blendandBirfdaySuit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="392" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/August%20Tutorial/5_blendandBirfdaySuit.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You'll want to go back in and blend your colors a bit more. I also brought 'Cheermeister' up above the crease and brought the color closer to the inner corner of my eye. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When you're happy with how your colors look, go in with a matte eyeshadow that is close to your skin tone (I'm using Birf'day Suit here) and blend up to the brow and soften your lines :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/August%20Tutorial/6_mascaraliner.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/August%20Tutorial/6_mascaraliner.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last but not least - mascara and eyeliner! Since these colors have some shimmer to them, you may also want to go in with a q-tip (lightly dipped in makeup remover) to wipe away any fallout you may have.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Birchbox%20-%20August%202013/boxcontents_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="488" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Birchbox%20-%20August%202013/boxcontents_blog.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
My box contents this month:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>(MALIN + GOETZ)</b> vitamin e face moisturizer - 2 foil packets, .04 fl oz/1.2g ea.</li>
<li><b>Stila</b> stay all day liquid lipstick in 'Beso' - 0.03 fl oz/1ml</li>
<li><b>Whish</b> Exfoliating Body Wash - 22ml/.75 fl oz</li>
<li><b>Whish</b> Deodorant Swipe with hair inhibitor - 2.3g/.08oz</li>
<li><b>It's a 10</b> Miracle Leave-in Product - 59.1ml/2 fl oz</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Feeling a little bit indifferent about my Birchbox.. However, I <b>do</b> feel like the Stila stay all day liquid lipstick in 'Beso' is the star of my box this month! I have actually been eyeing the stay all day liquid lipsticks for a while, so I had my fingers crossed & I'm really happy to have received it. I've also heard a lot of rave reviews on the It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product, so that should be fun to try. :) I <b>highly</b> doubt it'll be replacing my all time favorite Beauty Protector <a href="http://www.birchbox.com/shop/beauty-protector-protect-and-detangle-spray" target="_blank">Protect & Detangle</a>, though! I originally wasn't very excited about the Whish Exfoliating Body Wash, but after reading the <a href="http://www.birchbox.com/shop/whish-exfoliating-body-wash" target="_blank">description</a> on the Birchbox website I'm feeling more optimistic that I'll be able to put it to use. Apparently the product formulation is gentle enough for use on the face, who knew!? Customer service over at Whish has confirmed this, so I'm excited to give it a shot!<br />
As for the foil packets? I don't even want to talk about it. I loathe them and I am <i>so</i> over receiving them. :P<br /><br />Here's a quick swatch of the star product from my box this month:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Birchbox%20-%20August%202013/StilaliquidlipBesoSwatch_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Birchbox%20-%20August%202013/StilaliquidlipBesoSwatch_blog.jpg" width="355" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Stila stay all day liquid lipstick in 'Beso' swatched on the back of my hand (no primer, no base).<br />This amazing lipstick starts off as a liquid and dries down to a matte finish that doesn't budge <3</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/BeautySage%20-%20August%202013/boxcontents_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="492" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/BeautySage%20-%20August%202013/boxcontents_blog.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My box contents:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Clark's Botanicals</b> Deep Moisture Mask - size not specified</li>
<li><b>Christopher Drummond Beauty</b> Sateen Blush in 'Plush Pink' - size not specified</li>
<li><b>clariSEA</b> Sea Salt Solutions Beachy Waves Salt Spray - 1 fl oz/30ml</li>
<li><b>Shea Terra Organics</b> Rose Hips Black Soap - 1 oz/28g</li>
<li><b>One Love Organics</b> Brand New Day Microderma Scrub & Masque - 15ml/0.5oz</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
BeautySage is a company that is a bit new to me. I've seen the company mentioned a few times here and there due to the sample boxes they offer, but had never purchased any personally (until now!). From my understanding BeautySage is the online shop for YouBeauty.com. They only sell products that are "proven to work" - and in doing so, the products they sell are chosen by the editors, chemists test the claims, and they have a product test panel in place to get honest feedback on the products. You can read more about it <a href="http://www.beautysage.com/about" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>
<div>
The BeautySage sample/brand boxes are <b>not</b> subscription based and they tend to sell out quickly. The best part, at least for me, is that you are able to see which products are included in each box before buying (you can see any current sample boxes that are available by clicking <a href="http://www.beautysage.com/categories/wellness/sample-boxes" target="_blank">here</a>) - I feel like this makes it a lot easier to decide whether or not the box is right for you (and, of course, whether or not they are even samples you're interested in trying!).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I was really excited to see the August "Editor's Pick" Box (and had to have it <i>immediately</i>) because I had already been debating whether or not I wanted to buy and take a chance on the One Love Organics Brand New Day Microderma Scrub & Masque. The size included in the box retails for $12, and the price of this entire sample box was only $10. I really <i>really</i> couldn't pass it up. ;) Aside from the scrub, I noticed a sample of my beloved Rose Hips Black Soap would be included along with a sample of a beach wave salt spray for hair (I am <b>seriously</b> obsessed with these lately..). It's like this box was <b>meant </b>for me! ha ha</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
I was pleasantly surprised to see that all of the samples in this box are generously sized and have <b>more than enough</b> product for multiple uses! To top that off, all of the sample packing is incredible - Now, this is going to sound silly, but.. I am a sucker for samples that have the same packaging as their full-size versions. They are <i>so</i> much easier to use, and I absolutely hate messing around with foil packets.. (cough, Birchbox, cough)..<br />
<br />
For example, here are the items that didn't have a specified size/weight:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/BeautySage%20-%20August%202013/sizecomparisons_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/BeautySage%20-%20August%202013/sizecomparisons_blog.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
Unfortunately, this particular sample box is sold out.. BUT, I <b>highly</b> recommend checking out BeautySage and keeping an eye out for future sample boxes. ;) They have a lot of fantastic products available in their shop and are currently offering up free shipping on <i>any</i> order for a limited time.<br />
<br />
<b>Thanks for viewing!</b> xo</div>

<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Ipsy%20-%20August%202013/bagcontents_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="472" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Blog/Ipsy%20-%20August%202013/bagcontents_blog.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My bag contents this month:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><b>Michael Todd</b> <b>True Organics</b> Pumpkin Nutrient-Rich Facial Mask - 30ml/1 fl oz</li>
<li><b>Urban Decay</b> Revolution Lipstick in '69' - 1g/0.03oz</li>
<li><b>Pixi Beauty</b> Lash Booster Mascara in 'Blackest Black' - 3.0g/0.105oz</li>
<li><b>MicaBeauty Cosmetics</b> Shimmer Powder in 'Bronze' - 0.1oz/2.5g</li>
<li><b>Smashbox</b> Photo Finish Foundation Primer - .25 fl oz/7.1ml</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Pretty impressed with the featured brands/products sent out this month. Ipsy continues to improve and I only hope that ipsyMatch will continue to do so as well (crossing fingers!). I do have to admit, I preferred when all subscribers received relatively the same products across the board and with little variation between the bags.. but I also understand why that may not be possible with the growing number of subscribers. :P</div>
<div>
I am <i>so</i> ecstatic to have received the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick, and the MicaBeauty Shimmer Powder is absolutely stunning! I will be passing on the Smashbox Primer (I'm probably in the minority here - but it just does <i>not</i> work for me!) and although I am *<b>madly</b>* in love with all things pumpkin/pumpkin spice.. the label states that it is suitable for all skin types <i>except</i> sensitive. I'm taking this as a clear sign that I should steer clear of it entirely, which really bums me out. :( The Pixi Beauty Lash Booster Mascara should be fun to try out! I am a sucker for deluxe sample minis, and mascara is one of my favorites. :)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Quick swatch time! I wanted to show the difference between MicaBeauty Shimmer Powder in 'Earth' (which was previously sent out to some subscribers in April) and MicaBeauty Shimmer Powder in 'Bronze' (which went out to some subscribers this month) as well as the two Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick shades that were sent out to some subscribers this month:</div>
<div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">MicaBeauty Cosmetics Shimmer Powder in 'Earth' and 'Bronze' - swatched over NYX JEP in 'Milk' <br />(I apologize for the dimmer lighting, 'Bronze' was impossible to capture true to color in direct sunlight because of its strong golden sheen. Much more beautiful in person, 'Bronze' also has a very slight pink tint to it!)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in 'Anarchy' and '69'</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">'Anarchy' is a gorgeous bright fuchsia and '69' is a bright red with strong pink undertones. Love!</span></div>

I could <b>not</b> get the colors to photograph correctly to save my life! In my complete frustration I decided to use some super bright colors that I knew would photograph well. Maybe I should become frustrated with my tutorials more often, huh? ha ha<br />
I really love how this turned out and I hope that you will, too! :)<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/1_primeandbase.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/1_primeandbase.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As always, start out by applying your preferred eye shadow primer and base</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/2_pewpewpow.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="375" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/2_pewpewpow.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pat 'Pew Pew Pow!' on the center of the lid and into the hollow/crease. Make sure not to bring your color too close to the inner corner/duct area.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/3_whoRu.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/3_whoRu.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Apply 'Who R U?' to the outer corner area of the lid and then gently sweep this color to overlap 'Pew Pew Pow!' where the two meet on the lid and in the crease.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/4_blendampBirfdaySuit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="397" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/4_blendampBirfdaySuit.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Continue to lightly blend 'Who R U?' and 'Pew Pew Pow!'</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using a fluffy crease brush, you may want to grab a color close in skin tone to soften up the edges a bit.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/5_SneetchInner.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/5_SneetchInner.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using a small brush (such as the Real Techniques 'accent brush') you want to very lightly apply 'Sneetch' to the inner corner/duct area. I also went back in with 'Who R U?' on my accent brush and brought it further over toward the inner corner above 'Sneetch'</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/MSC_SneetchPewPewPowWhoRU.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/July%20Tutorial/MSC_SneetchPewPewPowWhoRU.jpg" width="387" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And last but not least - you'll want to apply your eyeliner and mascara to complete the look!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A small accent brush is also prefect for applying gel eyeliner to the waterline ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
My bag contents this month:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>COOLA</b> Mineral Face SPF 20 Unscented Moisturizer - .23 fl oz / 7ml</li>
<li><b>Nailtini</b> Nail Lacquer in 'Mai Tai' - 15ml / .5 fl oz</li>
<li><b>POP Beauty</b> Pouty Pop Crayon in 'Coral Crush' - 3g / 0.1 oz</li>
<li><b>BH Cosmetics</b> California Collection - 3 sample eyeshadows</li>
<li><b>Sexy Hair</b> Soy Renewal Beach Spray - 1.7 fl oz / 50ml</li>
</ul>
<br />
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the majority of the samples I received this month. To sum things up... I've fallen in <b><i>love</i></b> with the beach spray (it smells divine and gives my hair the added texture/volume it so desperately needs). I'm thrilled to have received the coral lip crayon this month - I had my fingers crossed for it! Sunscreen is always welcome here, and I'm really quite pleased that it's mineral, organic and cruelty-free! The nail polish isn't really my thing - I'm already a Zoya addict and hardly stray from what I already know and love. ;) The California Collection sample eyeshadows were a bit of a let down - absolutely gorgeous, but they are sheer and it takes a lot of effort to build up the color.<br />
<br />
BH Cosmetics California Collection sample palette:<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My box contents this month:</div>
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Birchbox</b> Bobby Pins with green pattern - two matching bobby pins</li>
<li><b>purminerals </b>CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 40 in 'light' - .3oz / 10g</li>
<li><b>Eyeko</b> Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in 'Purple' - 2g / 0.07oz</li>
<li><b>Vivant Skin Care</b> Mandelic Acid 3-in-1 Wash - 4.5ml</li>
<li><b>Kerastase</b> Chroma Thermique (Protect) - two foil packets, 10ml ea.</li>
</ul>
<br />
A decent box and variety of items this month, for sure. This definitely was not my dream box by any means - but I can't deny how insanely excited I am to have received a <i>full sized</i> Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner (and in <b>purple</b>, at that!). I did, however, make the mistake of trying out the Vivant Skin Care sample.. why am I so tempted by these things? I should know by now that my skin absolutely hates anything marketed for 'treating' acne. The description states that it is a 'gentle' cleanser, but my skin felt otherwise.. it was left irritated and dry, go figure! I <b>am</b> looking forward to trying the CC cream - but mostly because of the sunscreen benefits. ha ha The Birchbox bobby pins are actually pretty cute and will likely come in handy. I find them difficult to use, though, as they are hard to pry open! And as for the sample packets of Kerastase.. they'll be left unused (by me, at least).<br />
<br />
Before I go - here's a quick swatch of the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Purple:<br />

I had a lot of fun coming up with this & now I am going to <b>highly</b> encourage you all to try out a bright/bold eyeliner color (especially with a neutral look). :)<br />
I am currently <i>obsessing</i> over gel eyeliners and figured this was a perfect opportunity to try out a new one I recently purchased to see how well it would do.<br />
<br />
Products used for this look:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: x-small;">Unicorns & Glitter, Birf'day Suit, Princess Peach, and Iced Mocha</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/Not%20Quite%20Neutral/1_baseandprime.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="393" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/Not%20Quite%20Neutral/1_baseandprime.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Start off by priming the eyes and applying your eye shadow base.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/Not%20Quite%20Neutral/2_PrincessPeachalloverlid.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="380" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/Not%20Quite%20Neutral/2_PrincessPeachalloverlid.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Grab an eye shadow brush and apply 'Princess Peach' all over the lid. Use a lighter hand when applying toward the outer corner.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/Not%20Quite%20Neutral/3_IcedMochaouterlid.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="385" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/Not%20Quite%20Neutral/3_IcedMochaouterlid.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Lightly pat 'Iced Mocha' on the outer portion of the lid and work a tiny bit into the outer crease.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/Not%20Quite%20Neutral/4_IcedMochablendoutcrease.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="391" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/Not%20Quite%20Neutral/4_IcedMochablendoutcrease.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using a fluffy crease brush - start blending out 'Iced Mocha' on the outer portion of the lid and crease area.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/Not%20Quite%20Neutral/5_BirfdaySuitblendoutUnicornsandGlitterinner.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="385" src="http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb450/girlwithclass/Madd%20Style%20Cosmetics/Not%20Quite%20Neutral/5_BirfdaySuitblendoutUnicornsandGlitterinner.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using 'Birf'day Suit' I further blended 'Iced Mocha' out up to the brow area to soften. I also added a bit of 'Unicorns & Glitter' to the inner corner. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last (but not least) - apply your choice of eyeliner and mascara and you're set! <3</div>

<br />
<br />
My bag contents this month:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>NYX</b> Rouge Cream Blush in 'Tea Rose' - 0.12 oz/3.5g</li>
<li><b>J. Cat Beauty</b> Sparkling Cream Palette in 'Volta' - 0.1oz/3g</li>
<li><b>Chella</b> Ivory Lace Highlighter - 1.4g</li>
<li><b>Starlooks</b> Lip Pencil in 'Tipsy' - 2.4g</li>
<li><b>J. Cat Beauty</b> Eyelashes + Glue in style 'EL600'</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Really happy with my glam bag this month (including the bag itself.. leopard print and neon? yes, please!). I received a really nice range of products and, if I'm not mistaken, all of them are full sizes! My only disappointments? My blush color is a bit dark for my skin tone and.. well, I don't have a clue what I'm going to use the sparkling cream palette for. <br />Personally, I wouldn't recommend using the sparkling cream palette on or around the eyes. I'm not sure about the other color variations.. but in my 'Volta' palette the gold glitter is quite chunky. While the others look like they might be okay - I find them to be quite messy and unpredictable. Better not to risk it! ;)<br /><br />I did some quick swatches of my blush, lip pencil, and highlighter:</div>

My box contents this month:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Color Club</b> (Wanderlust Collect.) Mini Polish in 'Reign in Spain' - 0.25 fl. oz.</li>
<li><b>100% Pure</b> Body Cream samples in 'Vanilla Bean' & 'Coconut' - 2ml each</li>

Overall I'm pretty happy with this box! Birchbox has recently implemented a new beauty profile and I feel like it is a bit more specific this time around. This <i>should</i> help with matching subscribers to more relevant box contents. :)<br />
In my case, I certainly feel as though Birchbox matched me pretty well this month (<b>much</b> better than some previous months).. but we'll see how it pans out. My only disappointment is the size of the 100% Pure body cream packets - they are quite literally the size of ketchup packets! This is not a major issue, it is just that 100% Pure is a company I would love to try more products from! ;)<br />
<br />

<i>Birchbox is a beauty and 'discovery' subscription service. For $10 a month (free shipping), you will receive a selection of samples to try. You may cancel your subscription at any time (unless, of course, you sign up for a yearly subscription). Birchbox awards points for reviewing the products you receive each month - each review is worth 10 points, 100 points are equal to $10 that can be used toward purchasing full-size items in the Birchbox shop!</i><br />

I'm still obsessing over mint! I just can't get enough of it. Coral and mint seemed to be hot topics this month over in the Madd Style Cosmetics group on Facebook - you should <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/maddstyle/" target="_blank">join us</a> if you haven't already! :)<br />
<br />
I really wanted to give this color combo a shot but opted for more of a pink-toned coral to pair it with.<br />
<br />
Products used for this look:<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Birf'day Suit, Cry Baby, Candy Floss, and Oops</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/primerandbase_zps0d07a2ae.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="386" src="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/primerandbase_zps0d07a2ae.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Start off by priming the eye and applying an eye shadow base. I concentrate the eye shadow base on my lid and lightly blend out up to the brow.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/1_candyflossinnerlid_zps18423f05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="377" src="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/1_candyflossinnerlid_zps18423f05.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Apply 'Candy Floss' to the inner part of the lid to about the center of the lid.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/2_oopsouterlid_zps086b0c09.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="380" src="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/2_oopsouterlid_zps086b0c09.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Apply 'Oops' to the remainder of the lid and blend it into 'Candy Floss'</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/3_fluffycreasebrushblendsoften_zps4b0d523c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="385" src="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/3_fluffycreasebrushblendsoften_zps4b0d523c.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Grab a fluffy crease brush and gently blend out/soften the crease.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/4_crybaby_zpsd8a1703e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="370" src="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/4_crybaby_zpsd8a1703e.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Take 'Cry Baby' and lightly start applying this above the crease. I personally try to follow the shape of my eyebrows, but you can apply this however you feel comfortable! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
'Cry Baby' is a bit on the sheer side so it may take a few applications to build up the color.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/5_crybabylowerlashampbirfdaysuit_zps38d3a2d5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="375" src="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/5_crybabylowerlashampbirfdaysuit_zps38d3a2d5.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Following the outer corner of your bottom lash line, bring 'Cry Baby' upward toward the outer corner of your lid/where your eyebrow ends.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then used 'Birf'day Suit' to blend and soften the edges of 'Cry Baby' a bit.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/6_linerampmascara_zpsd2a8f25d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://i1334.photobucket.com/albums/w656/girlfromclass/6_linerampmascara_zpsd2a8f25d.jpg" width="381" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last but not least.. apply some eyeliner and mascara and you're all set! :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
&Please excuse my bad eyeliner day! haha</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

I wanted to do a quick post on my Ipsy bag and share a couple of swatches with you. ;)<br />
<br />
First of all - Ipsy introduced a little something new this month. I believe they like to call it their 'ipsyMatch' technology, which basically means: <b>personalization</b>! <br />It involves being active on their website (by 'loving' different products/looks) and by taking their beauty quiz (which asks questions such as... which 'looks' best describe your personal style, which ipsy stylists you relate the most to, beauty brands you love, makeup products you love the most, skin tone, skin concerns, etc.). These are basically the tools they will use to match you up with beauty picks 'just for you' every month.<br /><br />IpsyMatch was <i>super</i> hyped up this month which honestly left me feeling a little disappointed after receiving my bag.. Well, not disappointed in the products I received - but I honestly thought they could 'match' me better (products/color variations more suited to my profile). haha Silly.. yes, I know! But Ipsy has proven time and time again (at least to me) that they continue to improve and listen to our feedback - so, I'm hoping in time ipsyMatch will continue to improve!<br />
<br />
They also note in the FAQ section that any changes to your beauty quiz must be made by the 1st of that month in order for it to take affect for that month's bag. And admittedly, I <i>did</i> sign up for a second subscription this month (before I knew how everything worked - and <b>well</b> before the 1st of the month!). It was solely due to sneak peeks of multiple 'or' products being sent out this month. I figured I would have a good chance at being able to try out a variety of products - and, since Zoya is my <b>all time favorite </b>(<i>hands down!</i>) nail polish.. I didn't have much to lose! ;)<br />
<br />
Anyhow! Enough Rambling! Here's what my 'main' bag consisted of this month:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vQ0c01XS0mY/UaVFcNKnbPI/AAAAAAAABmo/8HQyU_xmY-g/s1600/IpsyBag_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="462" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vQ0c01XS0mY/UaVFcNKnbPI/AAAAAAAABmo/8HQyU_xmY-g/s640/IpsyBag_blog.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Pictured*:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Pacifica Perfume Roll-On in 'Tahitian Gardenia' (full size)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Zoya Nail Polish in 'GeiGei' (full size)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Yaby Concealer Refill in 'Buff' (full size)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Mirabella Colour Sheers Lipstick in 'Posy' (full size)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Anastasia Beverly Hills (Mini) Clear Brow Gel (2.5mL/0.085 fl. oz.)</span></div>
<br />
*I received the cosmetic bag that went out in April (white bag with pink zipper) with my Ipsy bag this month. They experienced a quality issue with some of the cosmetic bags last month.. basically, my cosmetic bag from April was delayed and this is why I am just now receiving it. :)<br />*I was also chosen to receive a new full size Urban Decay Moondust eyeshadow for being 'an active member of the ipsy community.'<br />
<br />
<br />
Swatches were a <i>bit</i> tricky this month since I ended up trading some items! Here's what I came up with:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-l-gZRFsKrWs/UaVQi1aZZ7I/AAAAAAAABm4/siGenkVvTxw/s1600/swatches_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="311" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-l-gZRFsKrWs/UaVQi1aZZ7I/AAAAAAAABm4/siGenkVvTxw/s400/swatches_blog.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><b>Left</b>: <i>Mirabella Colour Sheers Lipstick</i> in '<b>Pixie</b>' swiped on the back of my hand,</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><b>Middle</b>: <i>Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow</i> in '<b>Space Cowboy</b>' applied over </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">NYX JEP in 'Milk' and <a href="http://fyrinnae.com/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=412" target="_blank">Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy</a> (to help the glitter adhere),</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><b>Right</b>: <i>Yaby Concealer Refill</i> in '<b>Buff</b>' swiped on the back of my hand.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I could <i>not</i> do any justice to 'Space Cowboy' - these Moondust Eyeshadows are <b>unbelievably</b> glittery and complex. I highly recommend checking these out in person! &If you're worried about fallout with ultra-glittery eyeshadows, check out the Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy I linked to up above! ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Rumor has it that June subscribers will receive one of these full size NYX Cosmetics blushes!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I wanted to do a quick swatch post because... Well, I recently picked up this gorgeous GLOgetter Palette by LORAC. It's <a href="http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?skuId=2258560&productId=xlsImpprod5250021&navAction=push&navCount=1&subdoc=29makeupgifts13&categoryId=cat80045%20cat260018%20cat940003%20cat260010" target="_blank"><b>exclusive</b> to ULTA</a> and retails for <i>only</i> $20! It contains a total of 10 eyeshadows and has just about everything you need - from brights to neutral, with a little bit of matte, shimmer, and duochrome all rolled into one! I was so impressed by this little palette and I'm <i>pretty sure</i> you will be, too! ;)<br />

The LORAC GLOgetter palette is pretty compact - just a <i>tiny</i> bit smaller than my hand! It opens up to a full mirror (not shown) and the two highlighting shades are almost double the size of the other 8 eyeshadows. They are all beautifully pigmented and are <b>so</b> ridiculously smooth!<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, the colors are not named. My swatch photos show the colors in order from left to right (top to bottom). All of the colors (including the highlighting shades) were swatched over Tick:Tock Cosmetics Infinity Eye Shadow Base in 'Milky Way' and photographed in natural sunlight. The highlighting shades are not <i>as</i> opaque (but they are buildable) and I actually think they would look quite lovely as a highlight for the face as well (top of the cheek bone/temple, length of the nose, cupids bow, etc.)!<br />

<span style="font-size: x-small;">(these shades are similar at first glance - </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">the color on the left leans a little more pinky/peach, </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In my opinion, this palette is worth <i><b>every</b></i> penny and I'm actually shocked by the low price tag. I highly suggest checking this out in person! The colors are <b>perfect</b> for summer.. or, if you're anything like me - <i>all 365 days of the year</i> ;)</div>

He's going to be four years old next month, so as far as I'm concerned.. he's still our baby. hehe<br />
<br />
You may have noticed I haven't gotten around to blogging much recently.. Definitely nowhere near as much as I would like to. But, the past couple of months have been pretty rough for us. We noticed that O'Malley was starting to look a little scruffy and didn't seem to have any interest in keeping his beautiful coat clean. We started thinking 'Okay, it's definitely time he take a trip to the groomers' - but little did we realize, this wasn't the worst of his problems. <br />We took him to get a rabies vaccine (required before taking your cat to a groomer) and they did a quick overall 'health exam' and determined something was wrong with his teeth/gums. Well.. actually, they went way overboard with their 'analysis' by suggesting he HAD to have had either FIV/FeLV (feline immunodeficiency virus/feline leukemia virus) and that he needed ALL of his teeth pulled.. that it would be better to just put him down. I over-stressed myself out, my little heart was in pieces, and I just couldn't bring myself to function properly!<br />
First, we had to take him in to get him tested for FIV/FeLV. That was a tough waiting game, but he came back negative for <b>both</b>! We were so relieved and so happy - but unfortunately, he wasn't entirely out of the woods just yet. He still needed some dental work done and so between all of the antibiotics and shots, we decided it would be best to get him properly groomed as well. He had some matting in his fur and we thought a fresh start was best - and being such a long haired kitty, we thought this would help him in the cleaning department as well (he was experiencing a lot of pain eating/yawning/cleaning himself/etc. due to his gums and teeth).<br />We had to drop him off to have four teeth extracted and the rest of his teeth cleaned a little over a week ago, and he has been such a trooper about all of it. We've just finished giving him the last of his antibiotics (which, let me tell you, was a whole other nightmare..) and he seems to be doing very well!<br />
<br />Here is a picture of O'Malley so you can see where my color inspiration stemmed from with this:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i><span style="font-size: x-small;">(This is definitely an older photo, as O'Malley was recently shaved as mentioned above. </span></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As always, start off by priming your lid and applying your eyeshadow base. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qFn-ulSEpWk/UX74pbMtM6I/AAAAAAAABj4/NPKBm5KUZWc/s1600/2_Mothalloverlid.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="356" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qFn-ulSEpWk/UX74pbMtM6I/AAAAAAAABj4/NPKBm5KUZWc/s400/2_Mothalloverlid.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I quickly realized.. I don't have a matte white! I decided to use 'Moth' as it appears to be the least shimmery of the whites that I do own. :)<br />I applied 'Moth' all over the lid using my eyeshadow brush, but used a lighter hand/application toward the outer corner of the lid. If you are using a relatively sheer or shimmery white, you may need to build up your color a bit before moving on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-q5CfCtBTZ1A/UX76Zpw_nKI/AAAAAAAABkE/T6jL3ZPKGnE/s1600/3_startaddingCocoaPuffblend.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="342" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-q5CfCtBTZ1A/UX76Zpw_nKI/AAAAAAAABkE/T6jL3ZPKGnE/s400/3_startaddingCocoaPuffblend.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Still using my eyeshadow brush, I very very <i>very</i> lightly applied 'Cocoa Puff' - since I have an irrational 'fear' of over-doing darker colors, it takes me forever. :P<br />I always have the whole 'it's easier to add more than it is to take away' theory in mind when doing this. I seriously apply the tinniest amount and build up little by little until I'm happy with the color/shape.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_uQf575oB_k/UX78bHE6lJI/AAAAAAAABkY/Zw2KG90yRTw/s1600/4_addmoreCocoaPuff.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="371" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_uQf575oB_k/UX78bHE6lJI/AAAAAAAABkY/Zw2KG90yRTw/s400/4_addmoreCocoaPuff.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then applied more of 'Cocoa Puff' and brought it up a bit higher and started working 'Cocoa Puff' very lightly into my crease!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mLp7-ykqTcM/UX8DMetJG6I/AAAAAAAABko/Djk0YiTf8cQ/s1600/5_freshpots.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="361" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mLp7-ykqTcM/UX8DMetJG6I/AAAAAAAABko/Djk0YiTf8cQ/s400/5_freshpots.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using my liner brush I took a tiny bit of 'Fresh Pots' and, little by little, drew a line from the outer part of my lower lash line up to the very outer corner of my lid. I then started blending 'Fresh Pots' into 'Cocoa Puff' a bit more in the outer corner and made my corner a bit sharper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bdllWt2rJSo/UX8E6POwSrI/AAAAAAAABk0/ArVddF58Pk0/s1600/6_waterlinewhite.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="375" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bdllWt2rJSo/UX8E6POwSrI/AAAAAAAABk0/ArVddF58Pk0/s400/6_waterlinewhite.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then added white eyeliner to my waterline...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wWKWsKBHu_o/UX8FUBBDkTI/AAAAAAAABlA/1MLMZX9J1Bg/s1600/7_andrastesgrace.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="366" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wWKWsKBHu_o/UX8FUBBDkTI/AAAAAAAABlA/1MLMZX9J1Bg/s400/7_andrastesgrace.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
...since I didn't have a bright blue eyeliner pencil, I used the beautiful 'Andraste's Grace' over my white eyeliner instead! :) I also added some 'Birf'day Suit' under the brow to clean up/blend a bit more.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jkCXzGmU_G4/UX8IJe4YqtI/AAAAAAAABlQ/iDf2Z-sL8VE/s1600/8_linerandmascara.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jkCXzGmU_G4/UX8IJe4YqtI/AAAAAAAABlQ/iDf2Z-sL8VE/s400/8_linerandmascara.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last but not least - apply your liner and mascara! I also finished this off by adding a bit more of 'Moth' to the inner corner. If you find you have a lot of shimmery fallout, carefully take a q-tip with a bit of makeup remover on it and gently sweep it over any areas you want to 'clean up'. :)<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Grab your eye shadow brush and pat 'Wishes & Wonders' all over your lid. Use a lighter hand toward the inner and outer corners of your eye, and lightly blend up into your crease.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9MyHZp5ibIM/UVTViAuBRiI/AAAAAAAABiw/ivS2uEGs2Sw/s1600/3_chocomintrobot.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="363" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9MyHZp5ibIM/UVTViAuBRiI/AAAAAAAABiw/ivS2uEGs2Sw/s400/3_chocomintrobot.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using the outer corner of your lower lash line as a guide for the angle/placement - very lightly apply 'Chocomint Robot' to the outer corner of your eye up into the crease. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UJOZEao8aa0/UVTXCR9g8cI/AAAAAAAABi4/57Ir5K5VUTc/s1600/4_birfdaysuit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="363" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UJOZEao8aa0/UVTXCR9g8cI/AAAAAAAABi4/57Ir5K5VUTc/s400/4_birfdaysuit.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To soften and blend (if you prefer), go in with a shade that matches your skin tone. In my case, I grabbed 'Birf'day Suit' and blended out the edges of 'Chocomint Robot'.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LBjeSmnmLN8/UVTXf2DJQfI/AAAAAAAABjA/b_EKhzK8KAc/s1600/5_linerandmascara.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="382" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LBjeSmnmLN8/UVTXf2DJQfI/AAAAAAAABjA/b_EKhzK8KAc/s400/5_linerandmascara.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Your last step(s) is/are all about eye liner (and don't forget the mascara)! I used my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in 'Pure Gold' on my waterline to give 'Honey Badger' a little something to adhere to. I also applied 'Honey Badger' to the inner corner of my eye and finished up by adding Stila smudge stick in 'stargazer'. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Lets just dive right in!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MGFW8pqGH5A/UUIo7CeB8-I/AAAAAAAABfw/Jpfg8HfoR7k/s1600/GlamRX_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="237" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MGFW8pqGH5A/UUIo7CeB8-I/AAAAAAAABfw/Jpfg8HfoR7k/s400/GlamRX_blog.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Glam RX - Mini Freestyle Palette</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
From my understanding this mini freestyle palette was made exclusively for our glam bags this month. They are normally sold as a touch up palette (with a top compartment containing: shine eraser, eyeliner, concealer, and lip balm). The touch up palette can be purchased <a href="http://glamrx.goodsie.com/glamrx-touch-up-palette" target="_blank">here</a> and retails for $16.50.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Other than that - this cute little magnetic palette is about the same as their touch up palette. It is the size of a credit card (just thicker) and opens up like a book. A magnetic closure makes it easy to open and close, and it also has a nice little mirror on the inside of the cover. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The top left photo shows the cover, while the photo on the right shows what it looks like when open (and empty!). The photo on the bottom left will hopefully give you a better idea of how tiny this palette is - pictured inside the palette are my two yaby eyeshadows (15.5mm pan size) next to my Mirabella eyeshadow from a previous glam bag (26mm pan size). Click to enlarge the photo. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F0-AXTx4Mps/UUIw8nj_PII/AAAAAAAABf4/rEv_IIdQTiA/s1600/Yaby_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F0-AXTx4Mps/UUIw8nj_PII/AAAAAAAABf4/rEv_IIdQTiA/s400/Yaby_blog.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Yaby - eyeshadow refills in 'Azalea Petal' & 'Seashell'</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Yaby eyeshadow refills retail for $3.15 and can be purchased <a href="http://www.yabycosmetics.com/eyeshadow-refill/" target="_blank">here</a>. However, since Yaby is a Canadian based company you may want to check out the selection carried by Camera Ready Cosmetics <a href="http://camerareadycosmetics.com/brands/Yaby.html" target="_blank">here</a>. ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My <b>favorite</b> part about this company is that they are vegan friendly and cruelty-free. I also found the eyeshadows to be quite pigmented and easy to work with. The colors I received would not have been my first choice but they are quite lovely all the same :) Browsing their website, the first thing that caught my eye was packaging. Almost all of their products are sold as refills! This not only keeps the cost down, but makes everything less bulky and easier to store and use on the go. Not to mention if you were to ever hit pan on a product - you can easily clean and reuse for mixing. ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The top left photo shows the convenient labeling on the bottom of the eyeshadows as well as the clam shell container they arrived in which kept them nice and safe. Bottom left is a size comparison between a MAC eyeshadow refill (26mm) and the Yaby eyeshadow refill (15.5mm). The Yaby refill pans are slightly taller (but smaller) whereas the MAC pans are shorter and wider - if that makes sense? ha ha</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Top right is a close-up of Azalea Petal and Seashell, and bottom right is the swatch I did over NYX JEP in 'Milk'!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">LA Fresh - Travel-Lite Makeup Remover Wipes (8ct)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
LA Fresh travel friendly makeup wipes typically retail for $1.99 each and can be purchased from their website <a href="http://lafreshgroup.com/travel-lite-amenities/travel-lite-pouches/travel-lite-makeup-remover-wipes-8wipes.html" target="_blank">here</a>. I love that these come in a resealable package.. and, well, let's face it - this little 8ct package is 100 X better than the single use packet I received in a previous Birchbox! ha ha</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Looking forward to trying these out and I love that they carry a variety of products - from nail polish remover wipes, antibacterial wipes, shoe shine wipes, etc.. they basically have it all covered! Impressive!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dfwsPMv_Ecg/UUI47pihv-I/AAAAAAAABgI/W6hYZTTz2xM/s1600/JuiceBeauty_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="297" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dfwsPMv_Ecg/UUI47pihv-I/AAAAAAAABgI/W6hYZTTz2xM/s400/JuiceBeauty_blog.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Juice Beauty - Hydrating Mist</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We received a deluxe sized sample (1 fl oz/30ml). A full size (6.75 fl oz/200ml) retails for $22 and can be purchased <a href="http://www.juicebeauty.com/store/skin-care/cleansers-and-toners/hydrating-mist.html" target="_blank">here</a>. (1/6.75 * 22 = $3.26)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pretty excited to try out another Juice Beauty product! Though I have to say.. I'm not quite sure how I feel about a toner in spray form just yet ;) I'm not at all bothered by the scent and actually find it to be refreshing, light, and more 'natural' rather than perfume-y! Whew!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
All in all, I'm pretty happy with the bag this month &I'm enjoying all of the products we received. There was a different eyeshadow variation ('So Vein' & 'Sand Dune') that was sent out as well - I honestly wish I had received that combo instead. But, I love the colors I received regardless - heck, I love all the colors! I'm not hard to please and I totally hoard them all..! (... it's my weakness.. gotta catch 'em all..)...errr, I mean.. anyway!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've seen others mention it and I think that this bag is lacking in comparison to previous months.. Everything seems so much smaller than usual? Not as many samples? I can't quite put my finger on it.. But I hope it won't be a reoccurring theme. I have a hard time complaining because quite frankly all of these products are multi-use and at least we aren't getting foil packets. I seriously am not missing foil packets <i>at all</i>..</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The bag itself has the most amazing print and I adore it nonetheless, but the material used is really thin and.. cheap feeling? I can't even describe it! I'm just hoping I can make it last a while. Nautical designs get me <i>every</i> time. <3</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">(in case you couldn't see it very well up there)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Updated to add</b> my 'look' using the eyeshadow colors I received! :)</div>

I've been wanting to share my Coastal Scents haul of goodies that I purchased during their Black Friday sale. Yep.. you read that right! During their <i>Black Friday sale</i>.. oops. ;) <br />
<br />
I actually stumbled upon a LivingSocial<b>*</b> deal (back in October) for a Coastal Scents voucher. The deal was $12 for a $25 voucher to use on the Coastal Scents website. At the time, I wasn't sure what I wanted to use it for.. but I had a few items in mind that I had been wanting to purchase. It was a good deal so I figured.. why not!? And then I got wind of their Black Friday sale (every year, they have had a 50% off sale - entire site marked down!)..... I knew what I was saving my voucher for!<br />
<i><b style="font-size: small;">*</b><span style="font-size: x-small;">LivingSocial is a daily deal site much like Groupon! But, my </span><span style="font-size: x-small;"><b>favorite</b></span><span style="font-size: x-small;"> part about LivingSocial.. If you purchase a deal and then share that deal with your friends - if at least three of them decide to purchase the same deal, using your share link, you get yours for free! They can also share after their purchase and get three more friends to buy to get their deal for free, too! ;)</span></i><br />
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><i>If you are interested in checking out LivingSocial/signing up - you can use my <a href="http://www.livingsocial.com/?rui=4228140&ref=link_inv" target="_blank">referral link</a> if you like and LivingSocial will set you up with 5 'Deal Bucks' to get you started!</i></span><br />
<br />
I had been anticipating the sale and so I was a bit ahead of the game by making my 'wishlist' (or rather.. 'plan to purchase' list) ahead of time. While I was adding things to my little virtual shopping cart (Thursday night), I noticed that they had already marked everything down to 50% off before making the big announcement. I didn't waste <b>any</b> time - I got my order in quite a bit early. ;) I had absolutely no issues with using my voucher toward my purchase (it acted as a coupon code, no code was needed during the 50% off sale = score!). Shipping was a bit high for me but it was totally worth it! I know many people dealt with delayed orders/shipping because of how big the sale was - so I consider myself extremely lucky to have placed my order when I did. I only had to wait a week for it to arrive!<br />
<br />
So...I wonder what this could be? ;) ...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigS0-JLXMQ-f1mVcsqrXliO3KIFr87VS8WOq10qIOF-Zi1vSGXjKeKNcVn_P0jKxtTMwrcuqDTvnC-Cd6YEa8sB5bdt0LIiXNeeIuJWBrM9IDsg4HJjJOXv3LLNoau4qG0wNWu9leqnDrE/s1600/Box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="210" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigS0-JLXMQ-f1mVcsqrXliO3KIFr87VS8WOq10qIOF-Zi1vSGXjKeKNcVn_P0jKxtTMwrcuqDTvnC-Cd6YEa8sB5bdt0LIiXNeeIuJWBrM9IDsg4HJjJOXv3LLNoau4qG0wNWu9leqnDrE/s400/Box.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">The box was insanely bright! &Everything arrived safely bubble wrapped together </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">and secured by tons and tons of tissue paper. :)</span></div>
<br />
Here it is!:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HbjrY2WF_rs/UTZDmAW-UII/AAAAAAAABdI/gjZSmSvjt6Y/s1600/Order.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="253" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HbjrY2WF_rs/UTZDmAW-UII/AAAAAAAABdI/gjZSmSvjt6Y/s400/Order.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Pictured: </span><span style="font-size: x-small;">CS Winterberry Palette, </span><span style="font-size: x-small;">CS Creative Me #1 Palette, </span><span style="font-size: x-small;">CS Empty Magnetic Palette,</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">12 Hot Pots eyeshadows, two</span><span style="font-size: x-small;"> African Black Soap samples.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I made my own 'custom' palette by ordering an empty magnetic palette (retails for $5.95) and picked out 12 Hot Pot eyeshadows (retails for $1.99 each) to fill it with. The other two palettes had quite a bit of the colors I already wanted and it was much cheaper to purchase them in the pre-made palettes. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The palettes are pretty small and compact - when open, the entire top of the palette is a mirror &the bottom holds the eyeshadow pans magnetically. There is a small indention which makes it easy to lift out the eyeshadow pan if you ever decide you want to switch them up/rearrange them! The only thing that bothers me about the palettes is that the pans move around easily (I noticed this quite a bit when I was in the middle of doing swatches). Now on to the swatches!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added in the text for the names of each color (and the previous number they went by before they were named). As always, swatches are done over NYX JEP in Milk and are photographed in natural lighting. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">(Holy brights, batman!) I have to warn you, these colors have some staining power!<br />(Neon Red, Neon Bright Pink, Deep Grape, Magenta &Indigo leave a tint of pink behind).</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">'Teal Green' is just barely lighter than 'Shamrock Green' - also</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">'Teal Green' has a hint more blue, 'Shamrock Green' has a hint more green! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Both photographed more blue, but in the eyeshadow pan (in person) they appear more green. </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Once again, 'Teal Green' & 'Shamrock Green' photographed <b>much</b> too blue. :( </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">In person, these are much more on the green side and <i>not</i> cyan/blue.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Also - 'Indigo' is a beautiful blurple and photographed a tiny bit more blue.</span></div>

Coastal Scents eyeshadows are pretty fantastic (especially for the price point)! I've never had any problems with application - as long as I use a good eye shadow primer and base (for them to stick/adhere to), these work very well for me. Some of these shades are meant to be more 'sheer' but all of them are really easy to build up. :)</div>

Between Valentine's Day, my birthday and anniversary.. I haven't been around too much, but I hope you don't mind me squeezing in a pretty girly look for our last day of February! :)<br />
<br />
Here's what I used to create this look:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vq5Lr06cpL8/US-tWFoHSWI/AAAAAAAABa0/fRONlnU1ezU/s1600/0_productlist_blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="494" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vq5Lr06cpL8/US-tWFoHSWI/AAAAAAAABa0/fRONlnU1ezU/s640/0_productlist_blog.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Pictured:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><b>Top left</b>: Too Faced Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">& Tick:Tock Cosmetics Infinity Eye Shadow Base in 'Milky Way'</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><b>Bottom left</b>: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in 'Perversion'</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">& theBalm 'What's Your Type?' mascara in 'the body builder'</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><b>Top &middle right</b>: MSC eyeshadow pigments in: </span><span style="font-size: x-small;">"Smitten" Potion, Birf'day Suit, </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">I think you call me Sexy, Hallucinogenic Lipstick, &Bow Ties are cool</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><b>Bottom right</b>: bdellium tools green bambu brushes #716, #777 & #781</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xsi5DImoeRM/US-up-FBfRI/AAAAAAAABa8/WXyC4fTc2vA/s1600/1_primebase.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="377" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xsi5DImoeRM/US-up-FBfRI/AAAAAAAABa8/WXyC4fTc2vA/s400/1_primebase.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Start off by applying your eye shadow primer and eye shadow base. I like to focus my eye shadow base on my eyelid and gently blend it out and up to my brow.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ib0XGsT_jUw/US-vlPGyHZI/AAAAAAAABbE/MAflngnviQI/s1600/2_ITYCMSinnercornerabovecrease.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="378" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ib0XGsT_jUw/US-vlPGyHZI/AAAAAAAABbE/MAflngnviQI/s400/2_ITYCMSinnercornerabovecrease.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next up, grab 'I think you call me Sexy' and apply this to the inner corner of your eyelid until about mid lid and then bring this color up lightly above your crease.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CHJe31rF_0o/US-wBfxsqII/AAAAAAAABbM/FX64lAc0EGk/s1600/3_HLcenterlid.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="371" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CHJe31rF_0o/US-wBfxsqII/AAAAAAAABbM/FX64lAc0EGk/s400/3_HLcenterlid.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then, lightly add in some 'Hallucinogenic Lipstick' focusing on the center of your lid (try keeping this below where you placed 'I think you call me Sexy' above your crease).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1HMO6eZQ1d4/US-wpHJs2LI/AAAAAAAABbU/1rfm5MobVHw/s1600/4_BTaCouterlid.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="373" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1HMO6eZQ1d4/US-wpHJs2LI/AAAAAAAABbU/1rfm5MobVHw/s400/4_BTaCouterlid.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A little goes a long way with 'Bow Ties are cool,' so when applying to the outermost portion of your lid, you may want to use a small amount and build this color up little by little :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HxnP8gPAzwY/US-xWIXwOuI/AAAAAAAABbc/nP2rGYcCiCI/s1600/5_SmittenPblending.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="396" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HxnP8gPAzwY/US-xWIXwOuI/AAAAAAAABbc/nP2rGYcCiCI/s400/5_SmittenPblending.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Go back in and make sure you do a little bit of blending with your colors. To brighten up the inner corner/duct, apply '"Smitten" Potion' to give a bit of a glow.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XJqVNRgBYNc/US-x-ill8NI/AAAAAAAABbk/SNX94WgFN7U/s1600/6_BirfdaySuitblendSmittenP.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="377" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XJqVNRgBYNc/US-x-ill8NI/AAAAAAAABbk/SNX94WgFN7U/s400/6_BirfdaySuitblendSmittenP.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After playing with '"Smitten" Potion' a bit, I decided I wanted more sparkle. ;)<br />I first went in with 'Birf'day Suit' to blend out/soften the area above my crease to just below the brow, and then took a tiny bit of '"Smitten" Potion' and sort of 'dusted' right along the area above my crease.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xiEad-EJ-fI/US-yxH5hJJI/AAAAAAAABbs/6fvK89oiXhE/s1600/7_LineMascaraSmittenPlowerlashline.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="368" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xiEad-EJ-fI/US-yxH5hJJI/AAAAAAAABbs/6fvK89oiXhE/s400/7_LineMascaraSmittenPlowerlashline.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last but not least.. Apply your eyeliner and mascara and you're all done!.. (unless you're like me and fell in love with '"Smitten" Potion' so much you had to add it to your bottom lash line, too... hehe) ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for looking! &I hope you all enjoyed! :D</div>
